After the outstanding F45, MJX has now come up with F46. Being an already owner of F45 I am quite overjoyed with the quality and fabulous performance of F46. MJX has loaded their new bird with features. You can see them here: MJXToys – F46. I liked the searchlight the most as an innovation. It makes the bird look cool!

Quality of Structure
Though F46 has been created using ample plastic it has excellent durability and is easy to repair. The landing skids and side frames are also of plastic. Battery life is longer which I hadn’t expected. But my both the extra blades snapped upon a crash with a building!!! It was a cold, moderately windy day here.
The oversized tail of F46 may be a problem while taking off and landing as it strikes the ground. I raised the rear side by putting smaller nuts for landing skids in their front. This worked perfect and now it is alright.
I must say that F46 is among the most stable single blade helis I have ever flown. Those who want to shift from 3 channel to 4 channel, this newest bird of MJX is perfect. It is suitable for outdoor flying while the wind is medium. Everything related to flying, like response, transmitter range, speed and low wind flying is excellent of this heli. I recommend it for those with an experience of coaxial helis – they can fly it outdoors comfortably.
Comparison with Other Helis
I am tempted to compare my V912 with F46 and feel that F46 is better for learners, while V912 is best for experts. V912 has a superb altitude gain, tail and head hold and full cyclic movements to hovering, with nearly no drift. But it is not for beginners because of very sensitive sticks and a quick response to those sticks, whereas F46 is good for beginners. As compared to F45, F46 is a little faster and more flexible, as it allows instant throttle increase and doesn’t give sloppy movements at full forward. A little disorientation is caused by back to back stick controls, upon the next 1 or 2 cyclic movements, with tail and head hold reduced.
- Excellent quality and framework
- Excellent flying performance
- LED screen for transmitter
- Excellent stability
- Longer battery life
- Parts can be easily taken out and so, easy to repair
- Looks good
- High price
- No English manual (P.S.: Find the English manual here: MJX F46 English Manual)
- Creating a unique TX for each heli is the drawback of all MJX products, so that they cannot be used for any other heli.
MJX F46 is an excellent single-blade 4-channel helicopter for those who want to enter RC heli flying or 4-channel flying. For those who are already experienced with 4-channel helis will also find it fun.
